Eskaton Home Healthcare – 1 Full Time Position – Days

Under general supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating all direct general and/or specialized patient/client care/services within a branch or region. Works through a team of Case Managers, Home Health Aides and other health care delivery professionals, as appropriate, to assure quality care is delivered to all clients while safeguarding patient’s rights. Oversight also indicates assuring patient needs are continually assessed and assuring development, implementation and updates of the individual plan of care using a patient centered interdisciplinary approach.

Job Requirements Requires a minimum of two years experience in nursing supervisory experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or psychiatric nursing. Able to learn to operate a laptop computer to perform clinical documentation and keyboarding or typing skills; previous experience preferred. Requires current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, requirements related to all levels of nursing care, and requires keeping abreast of current trends and new developments in nursing and healthcare administration. Also requires effectiveness in the following skills and abilities: verbal and literary communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel and outside contacts, effective managerial and inter-personal skills, the ability to plan, organize and implement work and be flexible enough to shift priorities quickly and work under pressure with constantly changing demands, and must be amenable to weekend call duties and emergency standby as conditions warrant. Possession of a valid California drivers license, access to an operating automobile and at least minimum coverage car insurance. As of June 1st, 2014 Eskaton’s Tobacco/Smoke Free Campus Policy prohibits employees from smoking anywhere on Eskaton’s property
Education Requirements A Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and has a valid California RN license; current CPR certification, BSN preferred.
